by David Rynne
The separation was a shock
My fault
Or so I was led
To believe
Sadness
Then suspicion
Phone records, unexplainable bills
Missed fragments of time
A Commandment had been broken
Lucky I didn’t
Break one
Myself…
The ego is very important
To that kind
Of
Selfishness.
Shake it off
Move along
Keep trying
They all say.
Easier said than
Done.
Time heals-
They say that too.
I say-
Fuck you.
Is that too harsh?
If you think so
I will be more than
Happy
To deal that house of cards,
And see how quick
You are
To come to the table
And bet
That you’re now not worried
That your picture
Perfect
Life
Can be lost
In a Kodak
Moment.
